Heidi and Clara is a condensed retelling of the second half of the Alps no Shoujo Heidi television series, adapted from Johanna Spyri's Heidi novels. Paired with the companion release Alm no Yama Hen, it offers a longer alternative edit of the series than the earlier theatrical film, and it restores the voice cast from the original broadcast. The tone is gentle drama in a slice of life mode.
