A ten-minute film about smoking that never feels like a PSA. Morimoto's direction strips away everything except the question: what are you actually attracted to when you reach for that cigarette. The interactivity isn't gimmick, it forces you to sit with your own answer instead of watching someone else's story play out. Attraction is a single-episode interactive mystery film directed by Koji Morimoto of Studio 4°C. INPES, the French national institute for health prevention and education, commissioned it to discourage people from taking up smoking. Through the viewer's webcam and motion tracking, the viewer can move around inside the film, handle objects and eavesdrop on conversations. It was released online in 2010 in Japanese, English and French.
