The Eight Immortals set out across the East Sea, each of them showing off a different power along the way. The Dragon King of the East Sea comes close to blocking their path, and a fierce battle breaks out between them. In the end the Dragon King gives in and turns himself into a dragon boat, which the Immortals ride at their leisure until they reach the far shore without trouble. Once on land, they stop to rest at an inn. There a flea suddenly appears and starts bothering the Immortals one after another. All eight of them work together to catch it, yet no matter how hard they try, the tiny pest escapes without a scratch. Just as the group grows discouraged, the innkeeper's waiter catches the flea easily with his hand, leaving it helpless, and the Eight Immortals are left in amazement.
