SYNOPSIS
Two orphans raised as servants within an aristocratic household dream of escaping to Penglai, a legendary realm of immortals hidden beyond the mortal world. Their quiet lives of servitude shatter when warlocks descend upon the land and a celestial phenomenon awakens dormant powers sleeping inside them. These newfound abilities come with a terrible cost: the same cosmic event that granted them strength has marked them as targets in a larger conflict between magical factions vying for control of an ancient artifact. Bound by their shared past and the mysterious connection the awakening created between them, the two must navigate a world suddenly full of danger and possibility. Old hierarchies crumble as they discover their potential far exceeds anyone's expectations, but questions linger about whether their powers are a gift or a curse.
