It gives you the ending the TV run dangled in front of you and then yanked away with that "to be continued" card, and it does it at a dead sprint. Two episodes to close the loop on Aoba and Hina, to finally let the Coupling system mean something more than a power-up shout, to pay off Dio going from the guy trying to kill you to the only voice you want in your ear. The quantum and space-time material is genuinely more ambitious than the mecha bracket usually allows, closer to Interstellar than to the Gundam Wing pilot-rivalry frame it otherwise wears. It is also rushed to the bone, and the second half leans on recap so hard fans call it a clip reel, which is a fair hit. But if you sat through thirteen episodes waiting for Luxon and Bradyon to sync one last time, you already know you are watching this. Closure beats elegance when the cliffhanger has been sitting in your chest for years.
