This OVA doesn't try to matter. It's just the cast being themselves again, the kind of episode that only works if you already love watching Chaika fumble through sentences and Toru get dragged into whatever nonsense lands in front of him. It's a goodbye that knows it doesn't have to earn anything.

This anime-original OVA offers two side stories set during the first season of Chaika -The Coffin Princess-. In the first, Tooru and Chaika slip into a theater while running from the Gillette Corps, and after a few mishaps they wind up performing on stage alongside Akari and Fredrika. In the second, the Saboteurs, the Gillette Corps and the Red Chaika's group all head for ancient ruins said to hold Emperor Gaz's remains, and a three-way battle breaks out as each side races to claim them. The release mixes action, adventure, comedy and fantasy, and it came packaged with the twelfth volume of the light novel.
