Kanade is a shy boy who meets Latair, the Earth fairy who bursts out of a mysterious pendant. Latair's magic lets Kanade turn into different creatures, and he travels through ecosystems ranging from the ocean and the forest to the savanna. Along the way he meets fellow animals and shares laughter, worries, and discoveries with them while learning important lessons. Once Kanade understands the dangers these creatures face, he starts thinking about what he himself can do.
