Kui Xin is one of a fortunate handful chosen to beta test Crimson Earth, an upcoming futuristic game that mixes cyberpunk style with Lovecraftian horror. Things take a wild turn when she discovers she has been carried into a parallel world, one where a hyper-intelligent AI watches everyone's movements as they play the virtual game. Supernatural beings, cyborgs, secret cults and abnormal humans fill this new world, and Kui Xin sets out to defeat the BOSS and climb to the top.
