Countless powerful cultivators have risen over the ages, and behind each of them, unnoticed by the world, stood a mysterious figure called the Dark Crow. He guided a generation of young cultivators to the summit of their art and helped them found their own sects, then chose to withdraw from the world. Thousands of years pass. The once formidable sects have grown feeble and now stand close to collapse. At last the Dark Crow returns in the guise of a young man, determined to keep his old promise to protect them. The result is an action fantasy drama steeped in cultivation lore.
