SYNOPSIS
Akutsu Shouji hits bottom hard in 1989 Shinjuku. A decade earlier, he lost a street fight to some college kids, and that single humiliation spiraled into a wasted life of failure and regret. When his best friend receives orders to kill him, Shouji chooses to end it all himself. But death isn't the end. He wakes up back in 1979, standing in that same alley facing those same university students, except now he carries ten years of hard-won knowledge and scars in his mind. This time plays out differently. Armed with foresight and hardened resolve, Shouji crushes the fight and commits to a new path. He adopts a golden emblem as his symbol, a declaration that he's taking control of his fate rather than letting circumstances bury him. What unfolds is a gritty yakuza drama about second chances and whether knowing the future is a blessing or another kind of curse. The streets of Shinjuku become his proving ground as Shouji fights to build the life he was denied the first time around.
