Akutsu Shouji, a member of the Kaeda yakuza gang, hits bottom in 1989 Shinjuku. A decade earlier, he lost a brawl to a university cheering squad and begged for mercy in tears, and nothing has gone right for him since. When his friend is ordered to kill him, Shouji flees and takes his own life. But death isn't the end. He opens his eyes in 1979, back at that same fight with the university students, now carrying ten years of memories and experience. This time plays out differently. Using his foresight, Shouji drives off the students and vows to wear a gold emblem around town as he starts his life over. Knowing who will rise, who will fall and who will betray him, he sets out for revenge before his enemies realize what is coming. The result is a two-episode yakuza action drama about second chances, adapted from a manga serialized in Young Magazine. Some sources give his name as Jouji and set the story in 1983 and 1993.
