Wait for the actual payoff. This one doesn't waste time on filler or side quests, every scene builds toward a climax that lands harder because you've watched it earn itself across four episodes. The battles lack the flashiness you might expect from the genre, but that's the point: they're about characters you actually care about, not spectacle. If you've followed this franchise, you already know what you're getting. If you haven't, the short runtime means you can finally see what the hype was about without committing to seventeen episodes of setup.

Continuing straight on from the first season, this special follows Han Li through a string of adventures at the Yan Family Fortress once he learns that the demonic path has launched an all-out invasion. Mysterious demonic spies lurk about, his sect has arranged a blind date for him with Dong Xuan'er, and Mo Caihuan, the Mo Master's long-lost daughter, enters the picture as well. Treading with care, Han Li walks into a situation of extreme danger, where the battlefields turn out to be as chaotic and oddly comical as they are perilous.
