Mao Lan keeps finding her way in life through the lessons she picks up in combat. Her grandfather believes she has become complacent, so he takes it upon himself to prepare an opponent to face her at her next Prime Mat appearance. Meanwhile, Mao Lan trains alongside her friends and companions and gradually moves forward in life. The series pairs martial arts action with comedy.
