Ginga Hyouryuu Vifam 13 is a 26-episode science fiction mecha TV series from 1998, produced in memory of Takeyuki Kanda, the director of the original Vifam, who died in 1996. Like the earlier Twelve People Disappeared, it is a side story, and it brings in new characters and a new RV. Its events fit between episodes 22 and 26 of the original Vifam. The run falls into three parts: a first act covering episodes 1 to 14, an interlude spanning episodes 15 to 18, and a second act from episode 19 to 26, with the two acts only loosely connected. Some fans consider it apocryphal rather than a true part of the Vifam story.
