A boy finds a magic carpet girl and immediately resents her for existing. That friction is the whole show, Akihiro doesn't want to be saved from his ordinary life, doesn't want magic, doesn't want her enthusiasm rewriting his carefully planned afternoon. Malon is so genuinely endearing in her chaos that you understand both why he pushes back and why pushing back is already losing.

Akihiro is a teenager with an active imagination who is about to go on a date with his girlfriend, Miyuki. On the way home he comes across a strange carpet, and once he gets it inside, a lively and very pretty girl named Malon emerges from it. She tells him about a world called Phantasia and announces that she wants to live with him. Akihiro has a weakness for pretty girls, but Malon's magic soon makes him angry enough to send her away. Things get worse with Roll, a crazed wizard who is out to kill Malon. The result is a single fantasy OVA that mixes comedy, drama and romance.
