SYNOPSIS
Kintarou Oe has abandoned his university degree despite being brilliant enough to complete it, and now he's living the ultimate road trip lifestyle. Armed with nothing but his bicycle and an insatiable curiosity, he pedals from town to town taking on whatever odd jobs he can find, convinced that real education comes from experience, not textbooks. His actual goal is vaguer and more honest: he wants to understand life, the world, and most importantly, women. What makes Kintarou dangerous isn't his intellect or his work ethic, though both are genuinely impressive. It's his shameless optimism and genuine interest in everyone he meets. He falls into situations headfirst, gets attached, and somehow wins over the women in each location despite being, well, a total goofball. But Kintarou never stays put. Before anyone can pin him down, he's back on his bike, leaving behind another town full of people who unexpectedly cared about him.
