Alucard is a vampire who exists to kill vampires, and every time he fights, the screen tears open with blood and CGI excess that most anime is too timid to show. The plot barely holds together, but it doesn't need to, you're here to watch an immortal monster unfold like a flower made of bullets and profanity. A man with a gun the size of a child, a British aristocrat barking orders, and unlimited visual violence all pointed at the same target creates something that doesn't feel like anime at all.

Integra Hellsing commands a covert British organization dedicated to hunting the supernatural. She leads a well-trained private army, but her most trusted exterminator is Alucard, a powerful vampire who turns against his own kind to serve Hellsing. Alongside Integra's enigmatic butler and Seras Victoria, the newly made vampire who serves Alucard, the organization battles ghouls and vampires. It also faces a rival secret group from the Vatican and Millennium, a mysterious band of madmen born from a war more than fifty years ago. Expect a violent, bloody mix of action, horror and the supernatural.
