Jotaro Kujo seems like any other popular high school student until he becomes convinced he is possessed by a spirit and locks himself in a jail cell. After his grandfather Joseph Joestar arrives and Jotaro fights Joseph's friend Muhammad Abdul, he learns the truth: the spirit is Star Platinum, his Stand, a fighting energy given a semi-solid form. Soon his mother develops a Stand of her own and falls ill. The cause is the vampire Dio Brando, revived a hundred years after his defeat at the hands of Jonathan Joestar, Jotaro's great-great-grandfather. Jotaro sets out with Joseph and Abdul on a journey to Egypt to put an end to Dio for good.
