A girl with an eye patch that turns her into a ninja fighter befriends her sworn enemy's daughter, who just thawed out from three centuries of ice. The show treats this premise like a sitcom where the stakes are bloodline vengeance and magical artifacts, then immediately forgets to care. You're watching a comedy about a transfer student who's actually a centuries-old assassin, and the joke never stops being funny because neither character realizes how absurd the whole thing is.

Three hundred years ago in Siberia, Jubei Yagyu fought a costly duel with Kitaretsusai of the Northern Yagyu clan, and his daughter Freesia ended up frozen in suspended animation. In the present day, global warming thaws her out. A year after her last battles, Jiyuu Nanohana is enjoying quiet days in her third year of middle school when Freesia joins her class as a transfer student and quickly befriends her. Freesia is secretly after the Lovely Eye Patch, which she considers rightfully hers, and soon a stranger attacks Jiyuu with a blade. The sequel mixes adventure, comedy and drama.
