Branching off from the Xiong Bing Lian series as one of its core segments, this feature film recasts Sun Wukong as the Victorious Fighting Buddha, a superhero living in today's world who battles alien civilizations. The story builds toward a major confrontation between him, the Lieyang Civilization, and a figure named Di Leina, leaving open just how that clash plays out. Action and fantasy lead the way.
