The world has fractured under environmental collapse, and the old order has given way to chaos. He Jiang grows up in New Saco City beside her father, He Changfeng, hauling cargo in their truck through streets controlled by the Youren, a terrorist group that has recast immigrants from the far east as Dongbang exiles and keeps them under harsh rule. An arrest over a sword leaves her father dead and sends her to prison for eight years. Freed at 24, she recovers and repairs the old truck with help from new friends and takes up deliveries again. Facing discrimination at every turn, she finally refuses to endure it, rallying Qiao Qi, Liu Zhan and other Dongbang people to fight back. Action and drama drive the story of a group pushed to its limit.
