You've finished the series and you think the story is done. This OVA slides in quiet, asking nothing but offering everything the show was always building toward. No drama, no obstacles, just the characters you've spent twelve episodes with existing together in the spaces between the bigger moments, comfortable enough to simply be. It's the kind of epilogue that doesn't feel like bonus content but like the real ending the series was waiting to give you. For anyone who loved these people and wanted more time in their world, this is why that last DVD box exists.

Love, Election and Chocolate gets a romance and drama special in the form of a 13th episode that never aired on television. It was released instead on the seventh DVD and Blu-ray volume of the series. The original show centers on Yuki Ojima, a slacker in the Food Research Club who is urged to run for the Student Council himself when a new presidential candidate plans to abolish clubs like his.
