Nobody talks about this one. Two episodes of pure quiet, a soldier and his officer in a relationship that exists in stolen moments, in looks held too long, in the space between what they can say and what they actually mean. The show builds intimacy through restraint, finding more in a glance or a hand almost touching than most romance anime find in entire confession scenes. This is for people who understand that the deepest love stories don't need to announce themselves.

Maiden Rose Specials is a set of two special episodes released in 2009 as extras to the Hyakujitsu no Bara OVA. They come packaged with the OVA release rather than standing as a separate series, which makes them bonus material for viewers who already own or are watching that OVA.
