Monkey Punch's catalogue of characters and creations comes alive in this animated variety program, which aired on WOWOW in episodes of about 52 minutes. Each episode divides its runtime between a fifteen-minute Mini Stage and a thirty-minute Grand Stage, with sixty-second segments mixed in. In the short Lupin Gang bits, the Lupin characters have no voices, and every laugh comes from visual gags. The Lupin cast also turns up in the Mankatsu Monkey segments, starring a monkey whose only word is "Mankatsu". The show plays more like a variety show than a traditional narrative, mixing comedy and adventure with the ecchi gags common to Monkey Punch's work. Twelve episodes ran from 2004 into 2005, and a fifteen-minute special called Crime Mate was released only on DVD.
