A song written decades ago finally gets the visual it deserved, and the animation doesn't try to outshout it. Ai Niina understands that a handkerchief is enough, a small thing passed between two people means more than any spectacle could. The restraint itself becomes the romance.

Momen no Handkerchief is a one-episode animated music video set to the hit song of the same name by Hiromi Oota, a Showa-era tune, with animation by Ai Niina. A shorter cut first aired on October 1, 2021 on TV Asahi's special The Newsic Video, where artists made videos for older songs that never had one. The complete version went up on the Sony Music Japan YouTube channel in 2022. It is a short romance music video.
