Momoko is Momotarou the way a real person would actually be, frustrated, capable, and exhausted by having to carry the weight of an entire legend on her shoulders. The three animal companions are gods, not sidekicks, which means they have their own agendas and contradictions that make every fight feel like managing a team of people who don't always agree. This is a show built for viewers who want their fanservice attached to something with actual character friction and mythological bones, not just an excuse to pause the frame.
Momoko is a lovely young swordswoman who was born from a peach, in a female retelling of the folk hero Momotarou. She shares a peaceful paradise with her three constant companions: Inugami the dog god, Sarugami the monkey god and Kijigami the pheasant god. That calm ends when a demon army under the devil king invades and carries off the precious treasure that protects her land. Determined to recover it and save her people, Momoko sets out on a grand adventure with her three companions. The result is a fantasy adventure with a strong helping of ecchi fanservice.
