Ninja Hattori-kun, known in Japan as Ninja Hattori-kun Returns, is a 2012 comedy remake of the earlier Ninja Hattori-kun anime, running 52 TV episodes. Shin-Ei Animation produced it together with the Indian company Reliance MediaWorks, as part of a push to remake well-loved anime for audiences across Asia while the domestic Japanese market was shrinking. The series began broadcasting in India and Indonesia in May 2012.
