SYNOPSIS
Hiroshi Kuzumi moves to Jogamachi, a mountain village frozen in time, expecting a quiet fresh start. Instead, he finds himself caught between two worlds: the modern half of town and the ancient, forbidden side across the river where locals refuse to tread. His classmates warm to him quickly, but the enigmatic class president Nemuru delivers a chilling message: stay out of old Jogamachi, or face the consequences. Curious and stubborn, Hiroshi ignores the warning. What unfolds is a descent into supernatural horror woven into the village's forgotten past. Strange rituals, cryptic disappearances, and shapeshifting entities blur the line between human and beast. As Hiroshi uncovers Jogamachi's dark secrets, he realizes the village's traditions exist for a reason, and breaking them comes at a terrible cost. Part mystery box, part folk horror, this series asks whether some knowledge is meant to stay buried, and whether friendship can survive when the truth demands a sacrifice.
