The entire cast from Once Upon a Time... Man gets dumped into a spaceship and told to survive together, except now their flaws matter more than their roles. Master gets to actually lead something that could collapse at any second. The Professor has to explain physics while the ship is falling apart around him. It's not really about space, it's about whether these people can stop being archetypes long enough to keep each other alive.
Once Upon a Time... Space is a dramatic science-fiction TV series from 1982, running 26 episodes. It carries on from Once Upon a Time... Man, bringing back nearly all of that show's characters and recasting them in a science-fiction setting. Unlike the other entries in the franchise, it puts drama ahead of teaching, though a few educational moments remain, such as an episode about Saturn's rings. Several major galactic powers are locked in confrontation: the Omega Confederation, which counts Earth among its members; the military republic of Cassiopée, commanded by General Le Teigneux; and a mighty supercomputer at the head of a robot army. The story centers on Pierrot, son of Colonel Pierre and President Pierrette, and his friend Psi.
