A detective made entirely of a butt solves crimes with the same deadpan commitment as a noir protagonist, except every solution involves sitting on evidence. The comedy commits so hard to its one stupid premise that it wraps back around into something genuinely clever. This movie knows exactly what it is and refuses to blink, which is the only way a gimmick this dumb becomes this funny.
