Doraemon on New Year's Day hits different because it's built for the exact moment you need it, no plot weight, no stakes, just Nobita and a robot cat reminding you that the simplest comedy still works. The special trades story for atmosphere: warm, repetitive, familiar. This is the show you watch while everything else is closed, when there's nowhere to be. It knows what comfort actually means.

Oshougatsu da yo! Doraemon is a 1979 comedy special.
