A girl and two pandas wake up to find a tiger at their door, and nobody panics. The whole movie is just people being kind to a stranger while rain falls outside, no conflict manufactured, no lesson forced. When an unexpected visitor arrives at their cozy home, a young girl and her two panda companions find their quiet routine turned upside down. The newcomer is a mischievous tiger cub, and its arrival coincides with something even more exciting: the circus has come to town. In this sequel movie, the zoo lets PaPanda and his son keep visiting Mimiko. Two circus workers come looking for a runaway baby tiger but flee when they sense something huge nearby, which is only PaPanda. Soon someone is eating Mimiko's curry and using Pan-chan's things, and the culprit turns up in Pan-chan's bed. Mimiko names the cub Tora-chan and knows he must go back to his mother. Then heavy rain sets in, and a great flood puts the circus animals in danger, though the downpour cannot stop the family. The result is a gentle, funny fantasy adventure about family life.
