Made in 1993, this pilot was produced for a planned Popolocrois Monogatari animation project. Its main job was to attract funding for a theatrical film, a plan that soon shifted toward a possible TV anime, which arrived roughly five years later. The pilot stayed unreleased until seven years after it was made, when it appeared on the first DVD volume of Popolocrois Monogatari. It is a single-episode fantasy adventure special.
