Weiss Schnee becomes the entire show, and Shaft makes every conversation between her and Ruby feel like the world is turning on a knife's edge. The animation doesn't just look better than the original, it makes you feel the weight of every doubt she's carrying, every moment she's deciding whether to break or hold on. If you loved the RWBY characters but always wanted them to breathe, this is what that looks like.

Ruby and her teammates at Beacon Academy train to become elite Huntresses, warriors tasked with protecting humanity from the Grimm, monstrous creatures that plague the world of Remnant. Fifteen-year-old Ruby Rose earns an early invitation to Beacon after fighting off armed robbers, joining her older sister Yang Xiao Long. Heiress Weiss Schnee arrives against her father's wishes, and Blake Belladonna leaves her vigilante group behind in search of a better life. The four girls get off to a rough start and often clash over their very different personalities and beliefs, yet together they begin to make waves at the academy. As they study, a horrifying threat rises to confront them in this action fantasy with a science fiction edge.
