Japan's bloody Sengoku period is reimagined here: famous warlords such as Date Masamune go to battle in Gishin powered suits instead of the usual samurai armor. Masamune's suit, Oryu, holds more strength than the young lord can handle, and his failure to control it costs many lives. Alarmed by what Oryu can do, the other daimyo band together against Masamune with the aim of destroying the machine. The series blends mecha action and adventure with drama, setting giant armored warriors against the backdrop of feudal Japan.
