The third film tied to a children's TV program built around the popular character Shimajirou mixes an animated adventure starring Shimajirou and his friends with live-action segments, such as songs and quizzes, that invite young viewers to take part. In the animated story, Shimajirou's sister senses a cry for help in a mysterious dream, coming from a "motherwood" tree that towers above the clouds. To help the tree, Shimajirou and the others set off aboard Gaogao's Kibo, heading through the fog toward the motherwood's island.
