The magic system here isn't world-ending stakes dressed up as whimsy. These are spells for growing taller, getting full, cutting things, moving fast. Each one lands a joke in the time it takes to breathe. This is what happens when you let animators play with a beloved world without the weight of narrative hanging over them, just comedic timing and the exact right frame to make you laugh before moving to the next one.

A second set of six Frieren comedy shorts, each built around a single spell, released once a month from April to September 2025 ahead of the TV anime's second season. The spells include one that makes you taller, one that leaves you full, one that cuts nearly anything, one for moving at high speed, one that cools the air around you, and one that seals away a signature technique. Released online, these bite-sized fantasy comedy pieces offer quick, light entertainment for fans waiting on the next season.
