This isn't a complete story. It's four snapshots of people looking at each other and realizing their timing is all wrong. The OVA moves at the pace of actual crushes, not plot, which means it either clicks or it doesn't the moment you recognize yourself in one of these four. If you read the manga, you already know why these two episodes matter: they're not here to resolve anything.

Four classmates begin junior high at the same school. On the very first day, Hikaru Suzuki spots a gifted girl named Sayaka reciting lines from a drama up on the school rooftop, and he finds he cannot look away. As his interest in Sayaka grows, his old friend Chihiro keeps her own feelings for him hidden. Adding to the tangle, Shinobu Suzuki, who shares Hikaru's surname but is not related to him, is starting to fall for Chihiro. This two-episode romantic comedy OVA adapts the opening chapter of Ikeyamada Gou's manga and was packaged with an issue of Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine.
