Pushu Pushu and Nyuu are still themselves on vacation: kind, simple, present. The franchise trusts that a character meeting a taxi driver on an island is enough because the warmth between them will be the point. This is what comes after finding the cheek, not a bigger quest, just another chance to sit with someone and discover they're worth knowing.

Pushu Pushu and Nyuu are thrilled to be going on vacation for the first time in a long while. An accident lands them on Southern Island Acorn, where they meet Party, a taxi driver who looks just like Nyuu and welcomes them with upbeat music. Pushu Pushu gets so absorbed in the rhythm that one of his cheeks flies off somewhere, and the fantasy adventure that follows is a hunt to get it back, set to plenty of dancing. The earlier film sent the pair searching for Nyuu's lost cheek among the stars.
