Papa Bakabon's philosophy is that everything makes sense if you stop thinking about it hard enough, and the entire town suffers for his confidence. His kid is supposedly the genius, but he just watches his father destroy people's lives with gentle certainty and learns to roll with it. The joke never gets old because the show never pretends the chaos is anything other than what it is, a man convinced he's figured out existence, demolishing normalcy one misguided advice session at a time.
