A genie grants your wish backwards, traps you in the body you didn't ask for, then vanishes for years while you figure out who you actually are. By the time Tenshi na Konamaiki arrives at high school comedy, it has already burned through the kind of identity crisis that would crush most shows, and instead uses it as fuel for something genuinely unhinged. The school bully falls in love with the girl who literally beat him senseless, and somehow the show earns it because everyone here is too busy surviving their own backwards magic to judge anyone else for who they become.

Megumi was once a boy. He met someone he took for a magic user and was given an enchanted book: smear blood on it and a genie emerges to grant one wish. Megumi asked to become a true man, but this genie grants wishes in reverse, so at age nine the boy was turned into a girl. Years later Megumi enters high school and quickly thrashes the resident bully, who then develops feelings for her. All the while she searches for the book once more, hoping to undo the spell. The story blends comedy, romance and supernatural elements.
