In the year 2403, a young student named Satoru gets a visit from Alisa, a girl who has traveled through time from the future. The two set out together into the past to see the 21st century, but a malfunction throws them off course and sends them tumbling through seemingly random episodes of religious and historical importance, where they encounter figures such as Buddha and Jesus Christ. The film is a fantasy time travel story and the third animated feature from the religious group Kofuku no Kagaku, also known as The Institute for Research in Human Happiness.
