Anisphia is a disaster of a protagonist who somehow makes you believe in her the moment she decides to burn down the system for someone else, and that's the entire show. The romance isn't built on glances and subtext; these two actually talk to each other, actually plan together, actually choose each other over everything else. Two women who refuse to fit the shapes society cut for them, building their own life one impossible magical theory at a time.

Princess Anisphia is said to be hopeless at ordinary magic, yet she dreams of flying and gives up her right to the throne to pursue magicology, a magical theory she builds from memories of her past life on Earth. The succession then passes to her younger brother, Algard, who publicly breaks off his engagement to the brilliant noblewoman Euphyllia and brands her a bully. Anisphia crashes the banquet on an experimental flying broom and carries Euphyllia away. To help restore Euphyllia's reputation, she takes her on as a research assistant, and the two end up living together and studying magic. Anisphia has a hidden reason for wanting her company, and their chance meeting is set to change their futures, their kingdom and the wider world. The story blends fantasy and romance.
