As the world first emerges from chaos, it divides into three realms: one for deities, one for humans, and one for demons. To help ordinary people, the deity realm sends a spirit seed into the world, but the seed keeps absorbing the world's evil and begins to brutally harm living creatures. Sen Luo, king of the deities, finally gives his own life to seal it away. Because of that sacrifice, Shangqing Xianmen, home of the deity realm, slowly declines until history forgets it. A thousand years later, ruins of Shangqing Xianmen start appearing one after another, and every major sect throws everything it has into the fight to claim the treasures inside. The fantasy blends ancient myth with fierce sect rivalry.
