This movie takes the TV series' messy first two episodes and actually lets you breathe. The pacing snaps into place, the ensemble cast stops fighting for screen time, and suddenly you understand why these heroes matter before the plot demands you care. The new third act isn't filler, it's a genuinely unhinged villain that the TV show never attempted, built on everything the film just clarified about who Kotetsu and Barnaby actually are to each other. It's a film made by people who knew exactly what their opening stumbled on and decided to fix it properly.
Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning is the first of two theatrical films in the Tiger & Bunny franchise. Released in 2012, it retells the story of the first two episodes of the television series and adds newly produced scenes to that material. The film mixes action and comedy with a thread of mystery.
