Ura☆Higu knows you've already sat through the murder cycles and psychological breakdowns, so it doesn't waste time pretending to be serious. These micro-episodes hit hardest as pure character comedy because you recognize exactly who these people are when they're not killing each other. The original voice cast doing rapid-fire parodies of themselves is the only reward Higurashi completionists actually want after finishing the main series.

Ura☆Higu is a set of comedy specials from 2007, released as extras bundled with the DVDs. The collection runs to 24 episodes and is played for laughs.
