A family of vampires too nice to scare anyone tries to fake it with ridiculous homemade contraptions. Every invention fails in the exact same way, every time, and somehow that never stops being funny. SYNOPSIS
Papa's family of vegetarian vampires has been cast out from Monsterland for a pretty embarrassing reason: they can't scare anyone. To prove themselves worthy of return, Papa sets himself on an impossible mission to terrify exactly one thousand humans using his wildly ambitious inventions. There's just one problem: his contraptions almost never work, and when they do, the results are hilariously unpredictable rather than genuinely frightening. Complications multiply when Papa's daughter Sue develops feelings for a human boy, suddenly making the family's exile feel less like punishment and more like opportunity. As Papa continues his bumbling efforts to accumulate scare statistics, Sue's growing attachment to the human world threatens to derail the entire plan.
