SYNOPSIS
A novelist's household in Chiba Prefecture harbors an unusual secret: their dog Don Matsugorou can talk, though only the daughter Kazuko knows it. When a pompous neighbor's dog named King starts causing trouble in the neighborhood, Don finds himself dragged into a confrontation that leaves him nursing fresh wounds. But that's just the beginning of his problems. A fellow canine friend gets kidnapped, forcing Don to spring into action and navigate the messy business of a rescue mission while keeping his verbal abilities hidden from the adults around him. Through it all, a charming dog named Ogin crosses his path, adding a layer of romantic possibility to the chaos.
