A little panda is learning carpentry from his grandfather. He has picked up only a little of the craft when he becomes eager to head out and work as a carpenter himself. Grandpa tries to discourage him, but the little panda pays no attention. When a giraffe mother and her children sit down to eat, they discover their dining table is broken and talk about asking Grandpa Panda to fix it. Humming a tune, the little panda rushes over and takes the job instead. His repair turns their tall table into a short one. Uncle Elephant's bathtub has a hole, and the little panda patches it over and over until all that is left is a block of wood. His job fixing peach boxes for the little monkeys turns out stranger still. Clearly, the little panda is still a long way from being a qualified carpenter.
