A former assassin shows up at your door asking to be a maid, and somehow that becomes the most honest thing on TV. Yuki doesn't know how to smile, doesn't understand why anyone would cook for someone else, doesn't get why being wanted for anything besides killing matters. Watching her discover that warmth is real, that a home can exist, that she deserves to be more than a weapon, that's the whole show, and it's enough.

A nameless girl in a maid outfit turns up at Hitoyoshi Yokoya's door, sent by her former master and asking to serve him. She was raised from childhood to believe her only value lies in killing, and she knows little beyond following orders. Unsettled by her past, Hitoyoshi first tries to turn her away, but when she saves him from an oncoming truck, he takes her in. She has no talents other than killing, yet he welcomes her warmly, names her Yuki, and urges her to try an ordinary life. The comedy, romance and slice of life that follow trace a former assassin slowly finding a family.
