A town full of artifacts that rewrite reality, and a murder mystery that keeps asking: what if the person you love made a choice you can't forgive? Shiromitsugawa is a college town that keeps failing to attract tourists. While high school student Kakeru Niimi helps at an anime convention promoting the city, an earthquake strikes, and inside the local shrine he watches a sacred relic break apart. Afterward, several young people in town awaken to superhuman powers granted by mysterious Artifacts, and some begin using them to do harm. Kakeru teams up with his classmate Miyako Kujou, his sister Sora and the aloof Noa Yuuki, who have all gained abilities of their own, to protect their home and track down a superpowered serial killer before the next attack. Along the way, trust and romance grow between the hero and the heroine in this supernatural mystery drama.
